Operations Support (permanent position, 30 hours p.w. Monday to Friday, Timaru based)
The Opportunity Are you looking for a “front of house” reception position that includes administration and a range of operational support tasks, in support of our Manager Operations?
Do you like people, enjoy administration, including data input within XERO, health and safety responsibilities, vehicle/fleet co-ordination and oversight, property checks and telephone answering functions.
We’re looking for a dynamic, proactive, and people friendly individual to join our team.
Our Operations Support reports directly to our Manager Operations and is responsible for a highly co-ordinated, professional and efficient operations of the Y organisationally.
Ideal Person Specifications:
- Positive, warm, personable and friendly personality (i.e. a “people person”, with a positive energy and a passion and intrinsic desire to empower and support people).
- Confident, resourceful, optimistic, and ready to meet any challenge.
- Highly organised with strong computer competency and knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of XERO accounting software, with a high attention to detail/accuracy
- Commitment to meeting deadlines and responding to requirements as they arise.
- Demonstrate strong organisational and administrative and support skills and enjoys working in a support role.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills across a diverse range of people and organisations.
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal staff (i.e. a team player) and external organisations.
- Highly effective communicator, both written and verbally.
- Strong on common sense, resiliency, empathy, and a sense of humour and able to use initiative, be proactive and think outside of the box.
- A commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi and applies tikanga in relevant work settings.
- Uphold the core values of the Y – Honesty, Caring, Responsibility and Respect.
- Holder of a full New Zealand Class 1 Driver Licence.
